Dept. of Off Topic - Wacom and Windows 7

Love my Intous 4! Don't love how Windows 7 keeps forgetting it is there after working for awhile. I get it running again by opening the Services app in Win7 and restarting the TabletServiceWacom. Here's the path if you haven't seen it before: Control Panel > System and Security > Administrative Tools > Services

My other pet peeve with Win7 is that it just can't remember I've got a second monitor. Every time I turn on the computer I've got to get it to notice it again. It the little things...

Steve,
Thanks for the heads up on the Intous 4. Which windows 7 flavor are you using?

Win7 Ultimate

Steve, try UltraMon. I use it on my Win7 machine at work and it is far better at multi monitor management than Win7 is on its own.

I had this on my old computer on XP and w7 with a middle of the road video card.
This computer seems to handle things fine except when adding a monitor while a video is in full screen mode...

Hi Steve,

Never really had a problem with Windows forgetting my Intuos, but have had Lots of little (and not so little) problems with Revit and Intuos. In Revit 2011 the whole shebang would crash when trying to change a material identity. Thankfully in 2012, that is no longer a problem. Now, it is an irksome little problem of not being able to use the drop down button in the type properties. Folk at the factory are aware and hopefully working overtime to fix.

Greg, thanks...will check it out.
Ian, I'm still having the materials editor issue in 2012...or at least I did. Haven't tried to crash it lately. It isn't clear whether it is a driver or Revit...but they are clearly doing the tango.
