Revit Technology Conference - USA 2012 - City Poll

[- The poll is now closed (closed on May 20th), the image below is a screen capture of the poll, not an actual poll, sorry for the confusion it has caused -]

We haven't finished the first RTC in the USA yet but we are already considering where the next one should go. The poll you'll see at the top right corner of this blog offers the cities we've been considering.

There are some "obvious" ones we've considered but decided to try this list first to see what sort of response we get. We'll be sending out a survey to those who are already on the conference mailing lists as well as attempting to get a poll at the Linked In group too. Please take a moment to cast your vote for one of the cities listed or choose "other" and respond to this post with a comment for the one you'd prefer. ~ THANKS!!

Let me throw out Dallas-Fort Worth as a potential site. Geographically, it's just about in the middle. There are a fair number of large players here. And it's an engaging metroplex...many cultural attractions!

East Coast because its on the West Coast this year (only fair right?)

Boston because you're close to the Factory(s) (good treat for those not from around here).

Lastly AC just not that impressive of a town IMHO particularly for those who have been to Vegas for AU. Boston great town to be in, particularly RTC time of year, lots for the whole family, not just casinos and a beach that will still be too cold in June.

Beach too cold in June??? WT_ beach do you mean RM???

I say have it in Los Angeles... right next to my house. Speakers still have to pay so put it next to everyone!!!

I got it: do one in each region of the US.

Hey Kelli,
I like Chicago too, my original first choice for this year; but oh my lord it's expensive as a conference venue!

The beach in AC in June would be a bit on the chilly side.... Its nice in the depth of summer, not sure about the end of Spring. Generally I'm in favor of the eastern portion of the US since it is on the West Coast this year.

Of course Downtow Boston as a conference venue is likely just as pricey as Chicago.....

Dallas, Austin or KC

Chicago of course. I am hurt you didn't include it... :-)

We considered Chicago for the the first one and were shocked at how expensive it would be to do it there. The conference would have been double the price to do it there. Perhaps we can do more research to pull it off, no object on our part...other than trying to pretend to keep it affordable! :)

How about on a cruise ship?

Hmmm, cruise ship. Interesting idea!

Denver, it is a great centralized location for the majority of the people in the States.

I second Dallas, FW =) HUGE VENUES (everything's bigger here) and half the cost.

Look into it, .. I would be willing to help in any way i can =)

The watch at the lower right hand portion of the page is the "anti-
Revit" watch. It's not digital and it uses the "old-timer" drafting tools as the hands.

Steve said...

Haha, maybe so but it was still a nice gift for a few early adopters. A "custom" watch that few in the world can claim to own.

I would say Orlando for all that we have to offer witht the various convention centers, hotels, amenities... either that or Atlanta immediately near the airport so we don't have to transfer between planes... : )
